At VFW Post 5456, we work closely with local leaders, schools, media, and civic organizations throughout Elbert County to support veterans, serve our community, and inspire the next generation through youth programs and public service.

Join us at the "Wellness for All" Community Health Fair—a free community event designed to educate, empower, and connect you with valuable health resources!

Elks Lodge - 1008 Country Manor Lane

The following will be onsite to provide services and training:

Elbert Memorial Hospital, The Medical Center of Elberton, Elbert EMS, and the National Guard HHB 214th FA Medics, Medic for Men, UGA Extension, University Blood & Cancer Center, Pam Allen with Colon Cancer Awareness. Services will include free blood pressure screenings, interactive exhibits and talks that educate attendees on cancer prevention, nutrition training, as well as drug training to help increase awareness and preparedness in our community.

VFW Benefit Coordinators will also be available to speak with veterans and their families about available benefits and answer questions.

Attendees will receive a Health Passport to track their participation at each station, with opportunities to win prizes throughout the event.

Whether you’re coming to learn more about cancer prevention, explore wellness resources, or just enjoy a great day out with your family, there’s something for everyone. Early detection and prevention can make a life-changing difference, take this opportunity to invest in your health and have fun while doing it!
